i wasn't to sure about the show itself when i first saw the trailer for it, but after watching every episode i can't wait till the second season fast enough. (hopefully with all that partick has gone and is going through he will be back next season) other than his getting older in years, he still looks great and you could never tell he has been sick. i would also love to see him in another movie if he would be willing to do one.
I am in AWE with the strong acting performace of Patrick Swayze in the Beast!!

There are many programs being broadcast where the major stars are not ill and could not touch the tremendous acting ability of Swayze in the Beast.

For someone that is ill as he is, should be commended for not throwing in the towel and continuing living his life to the fulliest.

My Prayers are with him!!!
I love this show! Patrick Swayze is absolutely terrific in this role! The plots are riveting! The show should have won an Emmy! Wish A&E would publicize it more. Everyone I have told to watch it, loves the show!
Patrick Swayze delivers. He is riveting, unpredictable, volatile and he knows how to bring it home. A good show with a great actor.

Patrick is a great example of an honest, hard working, optimistic individual. I loved his new show The Beast and look forward to next week's episode. All the best to you and Lisa, Patrick!
We may have been born in different states at different times, he in Texas in 1952 and me in California in 1961 and I have never met him, but I feel like I know him, I mean really know him. In many of his interviews that he's given over the years, he has opened up and allowed us to get a glimpse of the real Patrick Swayze, not the dancer, actor, singer, song writer, but the person behind all that. He has been honest and open and has never been afraid to talk about mistakes he's made and how he's overcome them. He's talked about his experiences growing up in Houston and the hurt he felt when the guys in his high school made fun of him and the girls wanted nothing to do with him because he was a dancer. I bet a lot of those girls are kicking themselves in their rears for snubbing him. I understand the hurt he felt all to well because I was the school outcast. At least one girl knew something good when she saw it, his beautiful wife Lisa.
We have shared so many life experiences its spooky. I was diagnosed with cancer at the same time Patrick was. I lost a kidney to it and so far so good but I have to be monitored every six months. I lost my mother to breast cancer and now both of her sisters have the same breast cancer. My doctors have told me because I have had cancer and my mother died from it and both her sisters have it that I am so high risk that I will always have to be closely monitored. I already have a pre cancerous condition that I take meds for. If I walk by you might actually her me rattle from all the meds I am on.
I have been in and out of the hospital three times this year...and through out it all, I have kept Patrick's picture beside my bed and when I felt weak and felt like giving up, I'd look at his picture and remind myself that he was fighting his own battle too, that he was strong, very strong, fighting the fight of his life. Then I would feel stronger and knowing that he wasn't giving up neither was I and I haven't.
My Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ have carried me through all this. For along time there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Then there's Patrick. He's been helping me too. His example and his strength have helped me to be strong too. Someone's been leaning on him and he doesn't even know it.
Like Patrick I am a singer/song writer and I have written a song about all this...I'll share just a little of it with you.

You helped me soar
when I couldn't go on any more
and giving up was all that I could see

Your spirit picked up
and your strength carried me through
I was leaning on you
and you never knew.

Patrick if you do read these posts...Maybe just maybe I'll get lucky and win the sweepstakes and finally after all these years I'll get to meet you. I'm crossing my fingers and anything else I can cross and hoping that there's a trip to Chicago in the future. Well what do you know... I haven't gotten past Wyoming yet...so maybe this time I will and gasp....there might actually be something beyond Wyoming.

Annie
