I heard that chuck had hip surgery and left in march. Shonna left in the beginning of July I read somewhere to be a stay at home mom.John left last year and david left at the end of July and works some where else. I read that somewhere. I don't know if its true, but that's what i heard.

Hi: Why can't Chuck, Shonna and John come back with a different program. Good grief, they must have earned some money. I do miss them. I would have Shona be my family's funeral director. All of them, except Rick, are very caring and concern about the people they have in clients. They are kind and respectful, and seem like good people. Hey, we all have family disputes. The only thing I want to say to Shonna, treat your dad with a tad more kindness to her dad. No matter what the problem was, he is her dad. You can pick your friend but you can't pick your family. Just my opinion.

 This makes me so sad to hear this,,,,what about Shona's sisters,,,Melisa and the secretary,,,sorry I don't recall her name. I loved this show but your right,,,with out Chuck and John,,it wouldnt be worth to watch. This is a sad day for me,,,,I started watching this show right after losing my mom and for some strange reason,,watching Shona,,and Chuck,,,and their family,,helped me. N.Boyden

John left for a better opportunity. Shonna took time off to visit her daughter ...... By Ca law only active staff may be posted on a mortuary website or advertisements

Can you explain the circumstances of Shonna and/or John leaving?
Apparently Shonna made enough money off the show to be able to take a sabbatical. She always seem to elude to the fact that she was getting "burned out" by the business. Perhaps, it finally took its toll.
John, on the other hand, didn't seem to get along with Rick very well - although they had certain things in common. Just curious to know how he is doing...
Any info would be appreciated.

Chuck had surgery and is semi retired. If A&E does the show he will be back. Shonna is on a haitus of sorts. John left over a year ago. Chuck nor Shonna or John were fired. Everyone is on good terms and I bet ya they will be back

That is very strange! They have obviously updated their website.
I can't imagine the place running without Shonna! My thinking is something happened with Shonna and her father left as well in support! Just a guess...we'll have to see what happens next...

I just went on their website and it said Mary Kendrick
Funeral Assistant coming soon. I hope chuck, shonna and john didnt leave. The show wouldn't be the same.. If some one knows what happend please tell me..

thanx for the update, however I wudn't jump to conclusions just yet. I hope the old crew's still there, but if not I'm sure we'll hear something soon. and ur right, I have no idea who mary is, but maybe that's drama for a new season?!?! whatever it is, I just hope they return coz I really miss the show.

They have all disappeard from the meet the staff on the website for the funeral home. Chuck must have got fired and shanna must have quit becasue of that. Thats my assumption anyway. John hated the place so he probably just quit. Anyone hear of anything official about them? Sol if the show comes back it wont be good anymore without Chuck and John. Oh Well. And there is a new person on the site. Some Mary lady. Big changes there.
