I miss this show terribly! If A & E is going to pull it because of Ricks past then they should think about pulling DOG for his. He has more on his record then Rick or anyone else. Put our show back on. We miss them. Besides everyone in my immediate and outer family seem to think Shona is my twin lol. Would LOVE to meet her!

I don't really care WHY it's gone ... just sad/mad that it's gone. What a super show.

Whether or not they're still around, I wish all the original folks the best in their personal and professional lives. Like many have said, it's like losing family members.

I've been waiting & waiting for the show's return & I've finally gotten my answer & I'm so dissappointed; not that Rick did what he did but that I may not ever see my beloved & sometimes 'off-putting' family again. Who cares what Rick did? I never liked him anyway. I love football too but I don't stop watching it because another Cleveland Brown got arrested this week!!! If he's operating the funeral home without a license, is it even still in business?

This isn't a reason as much as it might be an excuse. If criminal records stop productions then 1/2 the shows on the air wouldn't be on right now. Drunk driving, drugs, shoplifting...At least the time was done and this is a more true to life reality show much more than "Big Brother" or "Survivor." How many of those shows depict true life? A & E tends to play the same show, same episodes, over and over throughout the week. Too bad they can't find an hour to air a show that has an intelligent fan base.

Sorry, but you don't have a clue. Being in the broadcast business it's numbers only. Family Plots was on 2 years. One newspaper hardly sets the pace for a T.V. network to cancel a show. Chuck was a pro if he fought one fight as you said. He trained people as noted on the show, and knew his craft. I don't mind it when people want to go a little out of the box, but when you fall off the table, I'm here. Sorry, you don't have a clue. Oh, and Rick's jail term...A&E knew about it. He did his time, and became a respectable businessman. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. You want the program back, you contact the network enmass. They listen believe me.

If you check the San Diego Paper articles on the Wiiesmuller Family you'll find an article with pictures that says they own Poway. Plus the fact that they were said to be related to "tarzan" Johnny Wiiesmuller.Upon checking they was something that the data did not support. When questioned about this in a follow-up article they stated it was the papers mistake. Which could be valid. But here's something else Chuck is said to be a retired professional fighter. I suppose that could also be considered true because when you check his fighting record (professional) He is listed as having fought one professional fight. He may have been in the ring for years but only once was recorded as a professional fight. All of this is public information that can be checked by anyone and I tend to think the production company who filmed the show and A&E didn't do their homework when researching the people involved. Many things are considered when a show is "taken off the air" and one of those is the back ground of the people they are presenting. You cannot defend what you don't know. Maybe there was just to much to resolve along with the fact that even tho most of us loved the show no matter what maybe this show was not as popular with the general public.

If this helps any I'm also a big fan of the John Edwards show it was taken off the air about two years ago. I and many other of his loyal fans kept witting and signing petitions and he's getting a new show which will air soon. So hey ya never know...it could happen with plots too.

Hi Cher 516. I agree the programming has gotten pretty bad on A & E. It seems to me they are trying to cater to a much younger audience. Well, they seem to forget it's the parents that pay for the cable/satellite. A & E needs to give us all something we can enjoy. Most regular cable is full of garbage nowadays it seems. I certainly hope A & E actually reads all of these posts and re-elvalute their choices. A & E was known for their exceptional programming, but not anymore. It's all about ratings now, unfortunately. Not giving the general viewers something clean, and entertaining, such as family plots. This program was one of my favorites and now there aren't even re-runs to enjoy. I certainly hope that A & E didn't choose to renew family plots because of Rick's past. There are people on tv that have done far worse in my eyes. They've all been forgiven and have all been given another chance. In my eyes, Rick is a good guy. He cares about his family, friends and is good to his clients. Editing made him look not so great at times, but we all know that, I'm sure. I hope Rick is doing well, as well as the other cast/ staff members. Chuck was my favorite though. Loved him with his "kitty" It always made me smile. At least we had two very good seasons, hope there will be many more to see in the future. Thank-you.

ATTN A&E Programmers:
You insist on shoving pure, total, utterly stupid trash at us in the avenue of DOG, Mind Freak, King of Cars and Roller something or other. This station has ABSOLUTELY gone the way of a Jerry Springer special. You used to have the one channel we could turn to for decent, substantial programs.

I truly wish that you would realize sooner rather than later that not all of your viewing audience appreciates your choices. Are you all pre-pubescent, hormone-driven people wanting to see cleavage & fist fights?

You cancel Family Plots because of Rick Sadler's past yet think nothing of showing us street-thug mentality individuals with absolutely no saving grace what-so-ever. Put the rest of the Poway staff back on & leave Rick off. He wasn't the only person on that show you know.

And will you PLEASE go back to a viewing format that brings back the dignity that your station once proudly had.

The show was great! I loved it and it makes it better to know that these people are real and make mistakes like everyone else. Most actors in movies have done things wrong too! Drugs and lude behavior but you still watch their movies.. I want the show back!

This is old news and the fact that King of Cars has been renewed PROVES that A&E does not listen to its fans. The channel is turning into complete garbage that has nothing to do with "Arts & Entertainment"
