I was originally going to post in order to defend Sgt. Mason because she is one of my heroes! But after seeing the post from Sgt. Mullins wife (mphs48) I now have TWO heroes.
First--Sgt. Mason has enough wit, smarts and sense of humor that I think she could carry her OWN SHOW. (note to producers)
Second--Mrs. Mullins--any wife who can deal with a homicide detective's schedule and hold everything together on the home front is someone I have a tremendous amount of respect for.
So here's to both ladies: "You go girls!"

Caroline is really great. I just love to watch her work. There isn't anything bad about her. She is one of the best detectives in the show. Many kudos to you Caroline. I agree with all the ladies who think Jason Perez from Dallas SWAT is hot. I think he deserves some praise. So does Caroline. These are very hard working men and women. They put their lives on the line for us. Many kudos to them.

My husband and I LUV Detective Caroline Mason 
We think she gives another perspective of being a woman on the force - you can still be a woman and she always gets her man. She breaks them all down and they sing to her tune in the interrogation room each and every time.

Det. Mason is one of the badest "Diva's" I know besides me! lol I am in law enforcement and I know what it is like to not want to go in public looking any kind of way, especially a woman officer and on TV! Please! One wish I have, is to meet her. I am one of her biggest fans. She gets the job done! When I get my degree in criminal justice, I want her to train me. When The First 48 comes on, I make my husband go upstairs or sit down and be quiet. lol That is my favorite show.

The reason she was doing her hair and putting makeup on in that episode is because she probably didn't time to go home and do that. They work a lot of hours and don't get home for days sometimes. I have seen detectives take a clean shirt out of the drawer in their desk and put it on. There is nothing wrong with Sgt. Mason. She is a great detective and works really hard to provide for her three children and herself. She takes pride in herself. She wouldn't think twice or give a hoot what people think about her. She has her own style and in unique. Everyone has their own style and gives them character. It fits their personality and the way she dresses fits her perfectly.

I love Sgt. Mason..she kills me when she combs her hairs on camera though and that one time she was curling it..but she always looks good and gets the job done..the person who created this discussion is a true HATER!!
