A&E Discussion Boards Are Moving
Since you are devoted members of the A&E community, we’d like to let you know of some changes that will be taking place on our network discussion boards. Coming this October, we will be moving the A&E discussion boards to an easier, more flexible platform. This exciting update will allow us to improve and expand your experience as a user with improved board functionality and robust member profiles. When the new community is ready, we will be turning off the ability to post here, but you’ll still be able to read the current boards. We have also set up a forum where we’ll be answering questions about the upcoming transition. Stay tuned for more details in the next few weeks. We will be sure to keep you updated as we make the transition.

I really enjoyed the recipes on today's show. I eat lots of Mediterranean foods, they are so delicious! I would love a recipe for my new love of babaghanoush, Rocco-style!

The young-lady (sorry, forgot her name) will get lots of kudos cooking that meal for her college roomates and friends!! Way to go Rocco!!!!!!

Good to hear that Brimstone.

And I would think it would be ok to post recipes on a board(forum) that IS for cooking??? Only makes common sense...no? ;)

Gosh, it's a cooking show thread and we can't mention recipes? Pretty harsh!

And Connie, Sweetheart, apology accepted ... as we can see, lots of people have bad days one here (*cough* looking at you director's office *cough*)

no hard feelings !

And a big ol' "duh" to me - for some reason I thought Rocco's show was on Bravo and then found this thread here at AETV ... I kept looking at the Bravo site for news of him, silly me! I found the recipe for his "Unfried Chicken" too and posted it on the other thread ... the one where I HOPE we are allowed to post recipes !!! Wouldn't want to get chewed out again or anything !!!! LOL !

You can't advertize recipes on here, it's not right.

Brimestone....I owe you an apology. Sorry I haven't done it sooner. I was having a rough day.
Do over?

I think there was someplace on here that was advertizing his recipes.....if i see it..I'll get back to you.

Connie ! Our paths cross again, nice to see you here!

I have only seen one episode of this show, but I really enjoyed it. Rocco made his healthy version of fried chicken and it looked delicious! Anyone know where I can find the recipe? He sauteed the chicken, then fried it (skinless) for just a minute and I would really like to give it a try.

Yum!

I watched this a couple of times and enjoyed it. But I was wondering...does Rocco not leave the recipe there for the people to follow? Why don't they take notes? Or is that the fun of the show?
But yes..I have enjoyed what few episodes I've watched.

I absolutely LOVE this new show! The recipes are fantastic and look so delicious! I have already shared several of the recipes posted on this site with friends.

I love the part when the person has to cook the meal on their own and try to follow what Rocco taught them, then Rocco comes in and saves the day because they really do need his help! Rocco is also very warm and friendly (lets not forget patient). The show makes me feel really happy and excited for the people he is helping.

Looking forward to watching more shows. It's great I can watch the full episodes on this site too....just in case I miss one. ;)

Rocco Gets Real

Sep 18, 2008 12:30 PM
Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito comes to the rescue of eager but often "clueless in the kitchen" individuals, who are seeking solutions to a wide variety of everyday cooking dilemmas in Rocco Gets Real, premiering Saturday, October 4th at 1:00pm ET/PT on A&E.

A unique hybrid --part reality, part how-to -- Rocco Gets Real is no ordinary cooking show. Rocco takes the cooking out of the studio and into the real life kitchens where people actually live and work. Real people. Real personal stories. Real meals made for real events in their lives. Whether it's a marriage proposal, a family reunion, or just Sunday dinner, Rocco shows them that taking the time to cook is one of the nicest things you can do.

Catch the series premiere on Saturday, October 4th at 1/2C.
