hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't been on at all for like ever... but someone wrote something to me that made me get all mad and stuff so I just kinda gave up on it. But I'm back and I hope I can get on more. I have no life anyway. About the plants have no feeling concept Believe what you wish, your feelings on the subject doesn't matter to me. This topic is not supost to make people mad or anything. About the fairies, they live in trees not 'up above'. If you are mocking stapler with this stuff just leave this topic! If you are truly curious and want to know more on the subject please stay. The thing about the man in the tree is cool. I believe you to a point. It seems a little strange to me but all of us are strange that's why we are here. The person in the hose by me cut down these pine trees that separated our property. I came home one day and they were gone. I ran to my room and locked the door and cried the whole day. My twin sister wanted to know what was happening and I just told her to go away. My mom said she would me to send me to the doctors and get my head looked at if I didn't come out of my room. My brother teased me calling me emo and banging on the door. How could I tell that family about my gift?! My door is broken from my brother banging on it. My heart is broken from the death of my friends. But the worst thing is that no one knows why. To make things worse I had to do a presentation in school today and I have major stage fright. I can't remember any of it. My friend was there and she told me that I walked in front of the class with my hands shaking and I just stood there with tears streaming down my face so I brushed my bangs in front of half of my face. The teacher asked me questions and I just shock my head. I sat down at my desk and looked at my feet and just went blank. Sorry about my complaining but I had to rant. Sorry So there's the update.

Okay, I think there was a miscommunication somewhere along the lines. There aren't any fairies 'Up Above'. Fairies and angels are different things.

I mean, I guess that you're asking me to believe that there are fairies up above or something? Doesn't that get a little tedious for them?

yup buttercups one of the best ways i could describe it. Only way u could understand is if u saw him but that being the case makes that experience easy to dismiss as impossible and fake. I'am not asking ne1 to believe me i'm just sharing with the board significant events that occurred in my life.

No. They are fairies. True the influence of Christianity affected the nature of beliefs in the British Isles and it probably had it's strongest hold on fairy lore during the Middle Ages, but angels and fairies are two very separate and different things. Particularly from the folklorist's perspective. When was the last time you heard of angels stealing children or Barghest delivering the word of God? Sorry buttercups, but I can't agree with or support your statement. I hope I didn't offend you!

Hello, pinkstarhopper! Very nice to meet you and thanks for taking an interest! Briefly, in the traditions of the British Isles ‘fairies’ or the ‘fairy kingdom’ refered to the Otherworld and the beings who resided within it. Thus creatures such as Changelings, Leprechauns, The Dullahan, Pooka, Grogoch, The Banshee, Merrows, Baobhan Sith, Barghest, Boggarts, Brownies, Daoine Sidh, Fear Liath More, Kelpies, Spriggins, and many other specific beings or types of beings are classified as fairies in Irish, Welsh and Scottish folklore. Fairies, both linguistically and in the context of their use, have changed considerably from a historical perspective. The fairies of the 16th century witchcraft trials were not the fairies of Princess Mary’s Gift Book (later appropriated by Else Wright and Frances Griffith in the Cottingley Fairies scandal) or those written on by Richard Allingham. Generally speaking, when you come across Celtic fairy traditions, or fairy lore intermingling with Arthuriana, you’re dealing with traditions much older than their modern interpretations or counterparts. The ancient tales of fairies did have both good and bad fairies in them who did both good and bad things, so finding both would not be uncommon. The traditional threads that bind the Otherworld to our lives are marriage, birth, death and loss. There is, of course, more to be said and if you have any more specific questions or interests feel free to ask or contact me. If you can find the time there are also these books: A Dictionary of Fairies – Katherine Briggs Popular Tales of the West Highlands – J.F. Campbell The Candle of Vision – George William Russell I hope that helps you out!

To: The Stapler You stated: A tradition still believed today is that where oak, ash and thorn grow together is a place where fairies reside. (It may be important to note, that I'm not talking about the delicate winged fairies of Victorianna, nor do I refer to the current type of fairies prevalent in New Age literature.) I am very curious about this subject matter. What did you mean? I have heard several different interpretations about fairies. Some are good and some bad. Would you mind elaborating a little bit for me.

Complex emotional feelings was NOT the issue. Feelings were, and if a Venus Flytrap can KNOW that it's hungry, can feel that there's an insect inside of it, that's a lot of knowledge,,, my friend.
