I would love to see Neo-Soul artist Maxwell on the show. He's got a new album coming out on 7/7/09, he is doing a concert tour this summer-I'll be at his Albany show on 7/21!!
Lionel Ritchie was GREAT on today's show! EnVogue was awesome last week. I think Faith Evans is working on an album, she wrote a book, I would like to see her on the show as well.
Have they had Tony Bennett on? I would LOVE to see him as well. It is amazing that he is still going strong at his age. I saw him in concert last summer. He's still got it! there are a ton of artists I would love to see on the show!!

Very well said i couldnt agree with you more.An excellent show but too many repeats.There are way to many artists out there to be showing so many repeats.An excellent idea for a show.Ive been saying this idea for years im glad someones making an attemp to try it.I hope it works out .

I stumbled upon Private Sessions about a year ago and loved the idea of seeing musicians (Highly successful musicians at that) playing in an intimate setting and then sharing their stories. The host, Lynn Hoffman caught my eye also. She seemed to be very comfortable hosting the show, asking good questions, keeping the artist on a "personal” level.
Ok, so I like the idea of the show...However, I am quickly finding it redundant. The same artist played over and over. Also seems to be heading towards a more classic feel. There are many band/musicians to choose from and it is such a great form to introduce musicians/bands that people may have heard the name, but never heard them on the radio, etc...
Some of my personal wishes are for band/musicians such as: Gavin Degraw, Sister hazel, Bon Jovi, Mike Doughty, and many more. Of course these are my personal selections and there are many more that I think would be very interesting to see.
Are there any new shows being taped? Is there a schedule of new shows/artist? What are the plans for the show?
