I too have never seen an intervention on the cleaner. I think it will make for a better show.

very excellent question. although the subject matter is kind of similar, the approach is different. Intervention is a "reality" show, a wild card. you cannot really predict what anyone is going to say or do. the emotions are real, spontaneous and raw. it's a good show, and I never miss it. The Cleaner, however, is a scripted drama, based on the life of a man who does exactly what we see on the show. (his real life is unscripted, of course, but the show isn't. however, there may be some improvisation on it) The Cleaner doesn't really do the extensive follow-up with the addicts, the way Intervention does. each show deals with the spirlaing out of control of an addict, and, so far, I have never seen an intervention on The Cleaner, at least not the kind of famiily meeting they have on Intervention. on The Cleaner, the "dart" is given, and the next time we see the addict, they are in rehab. but so far, that's the end of the story. as you may have observed, I love The Cleaner. I've been a fan of Intervention since the first episode with Alison the coke addict, and Gabe the gambling addict. I'm going to be a fan of The Cleaner longer than that. -- Kym

How do you compare THE CLEANER with INTERVENTION?

A lot of interventions, i think, are not successfull because the addict finds a way to manipulate and find someone to enable them. With The Cleaner, I think is more successful because they take care of this problem and deny the addict credit cards, money, enablers and take a very hard core approach. I like the show, except too much music and drama makes it like a soap opera sometimes. I wish the show success!
