Is We Mean Business returning?

I have watched a few episodes of this series and really think it has potential. It really provides a practical view of the mindset of the smb entrepreneur. For over ten years I have been working with small business owners helping them to market their business. I have worked with owners just like the pizzeria and gift shop owners who resist the change offered by the show. Because they cannot see the business actually succeeding. I believe the show misses the heart of the entrepreneur and forgoes gaining buy in from the owners to their problems. While the bottomline is the true problem and unbelivable stress accompanies their failure to successfully run a business. The owners are reluctant to receive the change, why? The owners do believe they can do it any other way. The show depicts Bill entering into a business with his very talented team to begin the transformation. In the episodes I have seen the team almost immediately begin sharing their disgust with the business model, appearance, etc. While I agree with the comments the majority of the time. To the small business owner it is like telling a parent their child has a third eye. Try getting the business owners to share why their business is not as successful as they believe it can be, help them to determine the actual potential of their business in their own marketplace. Determine with them a goal beyond the show and gain agreement from them on why the "We Mean Business" plan will help them accomplish the goal. You see after the 48 hours of quick change is over the owners must then carry out the transformation in what is basically a completely new business. While in theory it may appear this should be no problem... it is the exact reason why businesses fail to progress. The owner cannot see themself or their business move beyond their current state of bondage and failure. The selection of a business who needs to be completeley turned around sounds great, right? It is wrong, instead select a business who still has the dream for their business but need some help or direction getting there to the goal. I have been with many businesses who simply have created a business bigger than them and they become stuck but the dream is still burning. "We Mean Business" needs find these business owners to embrace the heart of our country, especially during this time in our economy. Display the victory of the American dream and inspire the dreams of other entrepreneurs.
