Not an interesting day at all swannie. I did bike though, five miles not ten. went to a meeting hand washed hand washables. posted here. talked on the phone. I washed my kitchen floor too after cleaning out the fridge. the squeegee mechanism snapped right off. threw the whole thing away. b,ut I am thinking of doing something illegal tonight though. shhh (Im thinking about dying some clothes in a washer downstairs) if I got caught I'm dead. or worse. but in my own defense I wash the machine through with a real hot cycle with clorox when I'm done. ps i might talk about "crossword puzzles" but I never do much more than talk about them. and that's boring too over and out but it's good to see you Lynn

It sounds as if you guys had more interesting days than I did, bless ya. Mine was devoted to the ever BORING housework. I would, however, like to thank the i-p*d, Iggy Pop and The Clash, without which my kitchen floor might never see the wet side of a mop again. Somehow I don't think Bronxy's talking about doing crossword puzzles. *Wink* *Wink* *Nudge* *Nudge* A definite challenge would be to use the word "semiquincentennial" in a crossword puzzle. I'd love to see PittsburgH someday.

not particularly. I slept long though and dreamt of chubby babies so it's not too bad. the lampshade looks absolutely awful (I used a clorox bleach pen for white petals - it didn't work so well) and I have yet to take the bike out. ten miles (8 laps around Van Corlandt) takes well over an hour. like an hour and a half sometimes. I'm only motivated by the prosepct of three letters begins with s, ends with x, not a number, not a musical instrument, not a baseball club. because I have a bit of a crush on a upper West side egghead man person. thanks though ballets

you're lucky to have your parents well and so nearby. fruit and angel cake. last night I shopped in one of my favorite food stores in the city. I started out with plain grilled chicken and melon in my cart. by the time I checked out I had wisconsin chedder coated with pecans and chocolate chip cheesecake. jeckyll and hyde food shopping I plan to bike ten miles today swim 30 laps tomorrow. it's a plan. right now I'm painting roses on a lampshade and listening to rock music on the radio. the cheesecake is gone.

I guess i should have said Scottish dialect instead of Scottish language. Thanks for the cake. I'm having dinner at Mom and Dad's today and dessert has been cut way back. Now on Sundays she serves small fruit salads or occasionally an angel food slice, doctor's orders. -- -Jill

Pittsburgh's Semiquincentennial

Pittsburgh turns 250 years old in November on the 25th. That's the day that General John Forbes and then Colonel George Washington came together and named the city where the three rivers meet for Sir William Pitt. Burgh is from the Scottish language (like Edinburgh) which is why we have the "h" at the end. We have started a two month long celebration here. There were fire works last night that would have made Washington proud. Pitt is such a difficult name to bear, how does Brad Pitt handle it so well? -- -Jill
