I think you are totally right, my oldest son (now 26) had ADD/ADHD and I fought the schools for a few years because I did not want him on pills.. and I suppose a part of you doesn't want to admit that 'something is wrong' my son's teachers started calling and writing me from kindergarten, I put him in private school at 1st grade thinking it was just a disciplinary thing... by 3rd grade the wanted him out. We moved and I finally relented to get him on Ritalin. what difference it made. I remember him actually crying because he finally was able to get through a day of school and not feel like a 'reject'.

I do think that Corey H. being as big as he was in Hollywood in the 80's adds to the whole 'downfall' ..I'm not sure exactly what they use to treat adult ADD/ADHD but I know it's recently been recognized and treated in adults. Corey H. will have to be careful because he obviously does have an addiction issue and some common ADD/ADHD drugs do act as amphetamines in adults where as in children they have a calming/focused effect.

Hi Cherrywhine, oh it's more of a percentage I am sure for ADHDers to get into drugs. Because Cory H and I are around the same age and:
1. in our age time ADD and ADHD was not accepted. It's still to this day controversial because of treatment being amphetamines which doesn't make sense, but speed actuall calms down a person who has true ADHD.
2. Haimster was a star and I am not so sure that every one in his life had his best interests at heart. He I am sure that had yes men and they were more focused on getting him on screen rather than treated like the hurting kid that he was. Same goes for Feldman minus the ADD. I don't think he has it.

Haim is everywhere and anywhere and his focus is off and he jumps in when others are talking, says what comes off the top off his head.

But to answer your question is yes I think. I know I took drugs in high school because I was depressed. Everybody told me I was stupid because I couldn't concentrate at school and was always daydreaming and unfocused. A little bit of a pill could have helped me out. But girls didn't ADD in my school time. That's what they thought!

And I just know you can look at Haimster and see he is depressed.

TW :)

Hopefully someone else with connections to Corey H. or his people will take note of this issue too... I wonder what the stats are for ADHD kids getting into drugs as adults are. I do think Haim needs a true focus on his drug addiction but a therapist/treatment program that could also take into consideration ADHD and what added effects that might have where his behavior and drug use is concerned would be the best step forward for him.

oh it's more than a possility I think. I think it's pretty big. He reminds me of my oldest son who can't sit still and hold it there even for a minutes. He's impulsive and makes split section decisions without thinking them through.

He's adorable though. I would love to see him get some help.

My oldest son had/has ADHD, he's now 26 but some behaviors still show up now and then given certain situations. But Haim does show alot of the fidgity, facial and hyper moments of those suffering from ADHD. I think it's a good possibility.

I'm going to play devil's advocate for a moment and say that I think Haimster is so severly screwed up that neither Corey or Susie knows how to handle it. Haimster has had childhood sexual abuse, he was molested, he was a childhood star which is the whole point all around here. Look at the others who have had a hard time. Haimster needs to do therapy for himself and want to do it for himself before he''ll get better.

Oh yeah he's hyper as hell and needs to consider ADHD as a posibility for his life being crazy out of control. I feel so sorry for the guy and think Feldman could help him so much by standing by his therapy and his friend rather than talk to him like a dog to his face and behind his back.

Hey, I am the Feldman fan far more than Haimster and Ijust feel so sorry for him. Haimster needs so much help. :|

You Feldman bashers make me laugh in your imaginary little world.

Feldman does not NEED Haim to work, he has a great career that he has worked hard at through the years. He is happy with here he is proffesionally and has a great Family Feldman is not only an actor today he does voice overs, he produces and he is a musician as well. I am not sure of all of what he does but you can see his bio and info online. http://www.fandango.com/coreyfeldman/filmography/p22999

He has been a great friend to Haim, until you are in his shoes you can't judge. There is so much WE DON"T SEE on TV.

Why is it that people feel the need to be a Haim fan or a Feldman fan, Why can't everyone like them both and all they both offer ??? Why is it one or the other ?

If you are interested in Haim's info online it shows in in Crank 2

Too bad it was Warner Bros that cut Haim and not Feldman, but hey it's the norm of some posters to blame Feldman for everything, even things he had no control over. And before everyone has a tizzy about Crank 2 I hear that's a cameo as well.. and Feldman wasn't part of that movie so I guess the fanatic Haim fans will have to find someone new to blame for that one.

I completely agree with you! Feldman uses Haim as a stepping stone toward more success while drowning Haim who is supposed to be his friend.
