I absolutely agree with all these guys! its time for ellis dove to continue and maybe become the beast... he was trained by barker, so bring on season 2! Swayze was amazing and will live on forever, PLEASE continue his legacy with the next season of this show!

To continue The Beast would be a wonderful tribute to Swayze. He helped lay the groundwork that was needed and it is possible to move Dove up to lead position, even if they had Barker killed off (another tribute to Swayze, if done right).
At the very least A&E should air an episode or two (think mini-series) to wrap up all the lose ends they left.

My condolances to Lisa, family and the many co-workers and friends who knew Patrick. He was larger than life, a gentle soul and we will all miss him. I was always a fan but after watching his biography last night I was astounded by how very talented he was in so many disiplines other than acting...football, gymnastics, dance, singing, and who knows what else. What a talent!!!!
I only just became a fan of the Beast after watching The Beast Marathon yesterday. I had never watched an episode before and I must say I am very sorry I didn't. He was fantastic in his role of Charles Barker!!!
The whole cast worked very well together. I am sure there will be alot of new fans to the show like myself who just discovered the show due to the hype from Patrick's passing way to early .
There is no disputing it was well written and well acted. I just think enough people didn't discover it. Hopefully now they will.
Travis Fimmel was also fantastic in his role as Ellis Dove. Without Patrick in The Beast it would never be the same but it could be different or at least a spinoff with Travis in the lead would be very good. He is not the beast but he definately has some beast inside him, he is a strong character and he would play well in a lead role (he is also easy on the eyes!!!!). I hope you will resurrect this series in some form...or at the very least have Travis in another similar series.
RIP Patrick...We will miss you!

I know that the show was canceled, but I still agree with everyone on this board. We want season 2! It's crazy to cancel the show. Soooo many people like it. By canceling the show, a lot of people are gonna be upset and disappointed.

We have to have a season 2,,,this was an awesome show,,,especially the shows they come out with these days are really getting bad!All the actors are playing their role perfectly.This show really keeps you guessing,,,,,,,have to have season 2,,,it cant possibly leave us in limbo

So quiet over on this board. Guess there's not much to talk about till we see if there will be a season 2. Hope everyone has a wonderful spring & summer....and that we have lots of season 2 previews to talk about soon!

I thought all the roles were played very well and each had a valuable part. All the characters were import to the story and I cannot imagine any of them not coming back for season 2.

I will jump on this bandwagon... I truly loved the first season, and am really interested to see how all the story lines get resolved. The red headed actress in the final few episodes was amazing. I want to find out who's side she is really on. I love the fact that Ray and Barker have joined each others sides...and I have to say I am a sucker for the Rose/Ellis relationship. The actress that plays Rose is stunning, and every time Ellis brushes her off, it makes me want to see them end up together even more. I think if A&E could figure out a way to write Swayze's character as more of a side story, and maybe bring in another agent? It's got to be a tough position for A&E, because so many people love the show, but they have some issues they have to deal with. I just really hope this show returns!

I agree about the loose ends and I want to know how they will merge them. Rose leaving? I wonder if she is really gone or just moved down the street? Will he ever tell her that he is an agent?
I think Patrick Fimmel did such a great job on this show that I would hate for it to get canceled for his sake too. He held his own playing Ellis and I would love to see his career take off even more.

Oh my gosh, no discredit to him, but it seemslike he would be better for his health to be laying out by the pool soaking up the Vitamin D and relaxing.

I can only imagine the difficulties that A&E are facing right now. Do they bring the show back or not?
I love the show too...alot. There are so many loose ends that need to be addressed after watching the Season 1 finale. I've seen that episode several times now and I still have questions.
Just knowing how sick Patrick is makes me wonder if he would be up to doing another strenuous season. Barker isn't exactly an agent that sits behind a desk all day.
Ideally, it would be awesome to have another season with Patrick. I just have a hard time thinking about the show without him.

Hopfully Patrick's health will allow him another season in Barker's current roll. If not, perhaps they could bump Barker up to some sort of supervisor position so he could continue to have a key roll in the show, yet it would be less taxing on Partick's health.

I really hope that the exec's at A&E bring back this show! I am sure that Patrick's health is cause for concern, but I think he would be happy to know that there are fans that absolutely LOVE him and Travis Fimmel on this show!
