dbalf1, being a recovering addict living with an addict in active addiction can not under any circumstances be easy - neither phyiscally or emotionally. It is so unfortunate that those who need help the most are the least likely to able to afford it. Does this person have any interest in getting clean. If so there are ways that it can be done that are cost efficient - tho maybe not as fancy as some that are advertised. Be careful yourself. Addiction is truely a family disease in that it affect everyone around that is even involved with the addict - and the toll it takes is devistating. I was drunk for almost 40 years and have been sober for almost 20. It wasn't easy - but it was worth it. and I thank God for it every day of my life. and if there is ever a way that I can help an addict that wants to stop I will do what ever I can to help. -- Prayers & Hugs to All Have a Blessed Day - Ace

I am a recovering alcoholic/addict. I'm living with an alcoholic/addict/crack. I can't afford the fees it would cost to get him clean & sober, but The Cleaner helps me to relate & communicate with him, I know he's suffering. It's been a long time since I got clean & sober, and it saved my life. I really do understand addiction. And now I'm so glad to see there really is other people out there that finally are making people understand addiction. It is a deadly disease that distroys lives, alot of lives. Not only the suffering addict, but all of the people who love & care about a suffering addict, there are alot of us out here. I heard a commercial for The Cleaner, & Benjamin Bratt (who does a good portrayal) said it's in the millions. And I'm one of 'em.

The cleaner has touched my life in a big way! I wish that there was one that could have saved my brother. He died almost 5 yrs ago, from a methadone overdose. He died one month before his 25th birthday. This is one of the best shows that can touch may lives!!
